Book Description: This Top Five Classics illustrated edition of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven includes: • All 25 illustrations by Gustave Doré for Harper & Brothers’ 1884 edition • An informative Introduction • A detailed Biography of Edgar Allan Poe • The illustrated version and text-only version of the full poem No poem has ever received the kind of immediate and overwhelming response that Poe’s “The Raven” did when it first appeared in the New York Evening Mirror on January 29, 1845. It made Poe an overnight sensation (though his great fame never brought him much wealth) and the poem, a powerfully haunting elegy to lost love, remains one of the most beloved and recognizable verses in the English language. The illustrations that accompany this Top Five Classics edition are reproductions of the renowned French artist Gustave Doré’s steel-plate engravings created for Harper & Brothers’ 1884 release of The Raven. It would be Doré’s last commission as he died shortly after completing the 25 illustrations in January 1883. His illustrations would become famous in their own right, evoking as they do the lyrical and mystical air of Poe’s masterpiece.

Book Description: Throughout the nine known recorded Epoch Ages, nine-hundred years of history, there stands a bloodline that demands attention—the Kindred lineage—a divine ancestry linked to the blessed goddess Gaeanna herself. Cursed with a blood oath to rid Davarus of the goddess’s betrayer—Rehab—each heir of the Kindred line is compelled to destroy him and his viral bloodthirsty people—the Revenants. After nine Epoch Ages, the line of Kindred has dwindled to near extinction. Leading up to the tragic kidnapping of his twin brother, Valen, the next heir of the Kindred bloodline—Divad Tarso—a powerful Magen and Commander of the Raven Order, is sent to rescue him. Betrayal befalls his team. Divad was cursed, infected by the Revenant plague with a deep lust for blood. As a result of uncontrollable circumstances that followed his infection, he was exiled from his knightly order. Now many years later, he has been reluctantly called upon, once again to serve his kingdom. His mission—to unravel a mysterious gathering of Revenants and extract any information he can—or so he is told. As he soon discovers, his betrayer lies in wait for him. Divad must muster his courage and come face to face with his brother’s killer, the very Revenant that cursed him.

The Lord Collector A Raven S Shadow Novella

Book Description: Author's Note - The following story takes place in the same world as my novel Blood Song, the first volume in the Raven’s Shadow trilogy. I wrote it because I wanted to more fully explore characters who appear in Blood Song and the sequels Tower Lord and Queen of Fire. Readers familiar with my work are sure to recognise a certain pale-eyed, raspy-voiced Sword Master of the Sixth Order and those curious as to the origins of the Tower Lord of the Southern Shore will find answers here. The tale takes place at the mid-point of the timeline described in Blood Song, a time when King Janus, with typical ruthlessness, is in the process of fully consolidating his grip on the Unified Realm. 'The Lord Collector by Anthony Ryan: a grim introduction to our protagonist, Jehrid, leader of an Excise Guard unit (think a kind of investigative military) to kick this story off. Jehrid is tasked by his Tower Lord with working with Brother Sollis of the Sixth Order and two others with finding a passenger from a month-old shipwreck. But Jehrid has another agenda: vengeance. A story told with standard Anthony Ryan style. Enjoyable, violent, sombre at times and galloping like a horse at others.' - Adrian Collins, Grimdark Magazine
